The Awesome New Wow Patch 3.3 Dungeon Finder

The new WOW (World of Warcraft†Patch 3.3 Dungeon Finder is “da bombâ€! Before Blizzard came out with the WOW Patch 3.3 Dungeon Finder, if you wanted to join or put together a PUG (Pick Up Group) for an instance, you had one choice; you went to a major city (usually Dalaran) and called out in the trade channel for what you wanted to run. And then you waited! If you answered a call out and joined the queue you waited. You were stuck in the city with basically nothing to do.

The new WOW Patch 3.3 Dungeon Finder is a big improvement over the old system. Now…the old system still works. If you want to use it you can, but I can’t imagine why you’d want to.

In the new Dungeon Finder system when you’ve joined a queue, you can go fish or do dailies or whatever you want to do because you’ll be notified when the group has been picked. You don’t have to stand around listening to the spew. With the new Dungeon Finder, the wait is usually less than 15 minutes.

To launch Dungeon Finder all you have to do is click on the ‘rotating eye’ icon that’s next to ‘Game Menu’ icon. After you click on the icon you get to make some choices.

You can choose which dungeons you want to attempt and you can choose what role you want to play. There are three role choices; tank, healer, and DPS (damage per second). All roles are not available to all classes, of course.

And, because Blizzard really wants you to use the Dungeon Finder feature, you get an extra reward just for participating in the PUG. This little incentive “extra†is in addition to the usually rewards you’d expect to get.
